Am currently working with Dixie on a project and if I wasn't a fan before (I was!) I am one now. I have never, in my life, met a sweeter, more talented woman. Bless her for that :)
Great page -- I'm having a blast reliving all these DW memories!

I want Designing Women on DVD more than anything. I think if it came down to food or the DW DVDs, I'd choose the DVDs. I am so mad that Lifetime has relegated the series to crappy time slots now. What ever happened to being able to see about 6 episodes a day!?

Just wondering about this - I've seen a clip of Bernice singing her hilarious impromptu 'Black man! Black man!' song and I'm trying to find out if there's a particular episode which really features this (assuming there's more than one). From what I can tell, the song debuted on the episode featuring Mary Jo's brother and his hunting trip with Quint (had Doe in the title). Was this something she sang periodically throughout the rest of the series? Seems like I can remember being pre-occupied on the computer, listening to the show in the background and hearing Bernice sing it a few times in one episode, but I don't know which episode it was. Thanks for your help. Bernice and Anthony together were priceless.

You're correct. The episode was "Just Say Doe," but it became a regular thing after that.

I love 'Designing Women' I remember seeing a couple of the episodes while I was 4 years old when it originally aired. When my family finally got cable I started watching the show again and when I saw the reunion special I got a new appreciation for the series.
I was wondering if any one has episodes from the spin-off called 'Women of the House' starring Delta Burke. I have never seen this series and I would just love to get a copy of it if anyone has any episodes email me and we can work something out.

I loved designing women I hated to see the original cast break up. After Suzane and Charlene left I quit watching. I wished them all the best. It was a great show most women identified with them.

I have been watching Designing Women for almost a year now. I know that is not long, but ever since my mom sat me down to watch the reunion with her, I thought it was one of the classiest shows I've ever seen! This proves that you don't need any crude humor to make a show absolutely hilarious! Thanks so much to Designing Women for giving something other than the 'normal' comedy to people who actually don't find that crude stuff funny. I guess that makes us, maybe .2/4 of the population? Oh, well. More power to us!

I had the great good fortune to write for these marvelous ladies when I first started as a writer. My writing partner Michael Ross and I had the thrill of sending down scripts and getting 125% back. I'll never forget that experience!

I saw Meshach Taylor last night in Burbank. He was so nice and friendly. Some actors in this area are gaurded because they think everyone wants their autograph. This gentleman was the exact opposite: a real person and super sweet! If you read this Mr Taylor, I was the girl buying the corned beef and cabbage and wearing a snoopy leprechaun pin. You are so nice!

OF ALL THE LADIES ON THE SHOW ALLISON WAS THE MY FAVORITE. SHE HAD A SEXY WAY OF BEING OBNOXIOUS TO EVERYONE. SHE STOLE THE SHOW. MY FAVORITE EPISODE WAS WHEN SHE SUBSTITUTED RED PEPPER IN ANTHONY'S NOSE DROPS, DRIVING HIM ABSOLUTELY MAD. I LOVED HOW SHE WOULD ALWAYS GET THE BETTER OF HIM AND GLOATING ABOUT IT. SHE DESERVED TO HAVE SUZANNES HOUSE.

Designing Women was always one of the best shows on television. They don't make them like that anymore. I love all the original cast members. I love Julia's speeches -- you don't hear any like that now. Thanks for this site!

Delta, you are a very special person to me. Working through your depression like you are is great to hear. I'm bipolar so i know how hard it can be. I watch your show everyday it's on and love it. I watched your Designing Women and reunion also. You are a very strong person in my eyes.
