Thank you for a marvelous morning spent with memories of the best thing that ever came out of the South 'Designing Women'. How wonderful to have the dialogues from so many favorite episodes, and the photographs will be be lovingly recalled as though old friends. Thank you for your dedication to something women from the South (North, East and West) can look back on with pride. Thanks to Linda, Harry, the cast and crew...............what a TEAM.

Thanks to Lifetime I have been hooked on the show. Being 18, without those reruns I would have never been brougt into the wacky world of Julia and the gang. It is also great How they have all done so well since. They all went on to great series, whether they lasted or not.

My favorite Designing Woman isn't a woman at all, it's Anthony! I've always enjoyed Meshach Taylor's work and I think he could have worked and held his own with any of the comedy geniuses of the past. The character of Anthony Bouvier is also a good example of what being a man can really mean. I've been a fan of the show since the first episode and really admire the other cast members as well. A big A-PLUS for the website!!

This show has been a saviour for me this last year of my life. It has given me such joy and pride in the priveledge of being a woman. Yes, I know that I am not from the south, but all women who are really in touch with that smooth, gentle, snow ball way of ripping apart a room the way the women of Sugarbakers do can take some joy in being in some small way a Southern Belle.I thank them for their grit, tenderness and that great ability to laugh at themselves.I only wish I could stop by someday to take them all to lunch.

This site is great!! I love Designing Women. They really stand up for southerners and make me proud to be one. Jean and Delta were my favorite characters. I love just about all the episodes but the one where Suzanne
gets the black face paint to be a Supreme is ABSOLUTELY HILARIOUS!! Thanks girls (and Anthony) for a great series of shows.

I enjoyed this site tremendously. I never watched the show when it was initially on -- I never did seem to watch CBS back then, or even now! But now that I've had a chance to indulge in re-runs on Lifetime every night, I've really come to love this show.
I appreciate the website you've put together here. Thanks for gathering all this information and making it look so splendid.

I think Designing Women is the best and funniest sitcom ever. The original 4 are my favorites, but I also love the ones with B.J. in them. I have taped all the episodes as they aired on Lifetime, and I watch them over and over again. I was so happy to find this site and to see that there are others like me who think this show is the best. Keep up the good work.

Designing Women has been a big part of my life. I love all the characters and could probably lip sync through most of the shows by now. I would love more behind the scenes information and on Alice Ghostley (Bernice), she is a hoot!

Though I didn't watch the show from it's first premier back in the '80s, I have become a loyal fan of Designing Women. I first started watching it when Lifetime TV first added it to their television lineup a few years ago. Since then, I have been a faithful viewer. I cannot tell you how it has touched my life, both with humor through tragedies and triumphs, and insight into my life, as I am sure that it has had an effect on the lives of many. It is no wonder that it's actors and actresses have been nominated for emmies and the like. The most humorous episodes I feel are 'Miss Trial,' 'Tornado Watch,' 'Nightmare From Hee Haw,' and 'Reservations For Eight, Plus Ursula.' But the most prevalent and touching episode I feel is 'The First Day Of The Last Decade Of The Entire Twentieth Century.' Losing my grandfather recently, the song 'Somewhere Out There' and Charlene's experience with Dolly Parton has given my perspective on life a new meaning. Thank you to Linda Bloodworth Thompson and all of the cast and affiliations of Designing, and most of all, thank you, creators of this site. You have really given me some great memories.

Designing Women is one of the best sitcoms ever. My only regret is that I didn't watch it more often before it was pulled. I was just a child then and did not appreciate all of its Southern charm. Being from the South, I am appalled at how Southerners are often portrayed. Designing Women is one of the few shows that showed southern women as being intelligent professionals rather than barefoot and pregnant hicks. Mary Jo Shively is a role model for all. I sincerely wish that a reunion show would air with Delta Burke, Dixie Carter, Jean Smart, Annie Potts, and Meshach Taylor. Jan Hooks, Julia Duffy, and Judith Ivy could be included as well, but only with minor roles.
