Mary Jo is reminded of a promise to marry a platonic friend if they are both still single at 35. Julia discovers that the Sugarbakers house was built on the foundation of a Civil War home and has it added to the tour of Historical Homes --- until the tour takes over her home.

THE BACHELOR AUCTION -October 22, 1990

Anthony agrees to be auctioned-off at a charity bachelor auction with Suzanne's coaching. But disappointed in the amount of money offered for him, Suzanne accidentally makes the winning bid for him and is uncomfortable with the two of them spending an evening alone.

Meanwhile, Anthony has a recurring dream where Julia tries to seduce him --- making Charlene suspect that he has the hots for Julia, and Suzanne tries out as a lifestyles reporter for the local news with a report on fashion for dogs.

The ladies attend a contemporary art exhibit opening where Julia becomes an instant sensation when her purse is mistaken for an exhibit piece. Meanwhile, Mary Jo tries to find a cheap way to fix Charlene's car after she dings it, and Suzanne accidentally glues her lips together while trying to fix her fingernail.
