Designing Women Tribute Page

1998
The Designing Women Tribute Page debuts. Initially created as a way to anchor a page for Women of the House, the site for Designing Women takes on a life of its own. The page opens with the famous "Belles" photo and Dash Goff's poem followed by photo links to featured sections, which include:

Episode Guide Index, Character Profiles, Memorable Quotes, Cast Biographies, Goofs & Glitches, Designing Women Links, and Women of the House Tribute.

1999
As the DW page gains recognition, fans from around the globe start connecting to the site, donating photos and even press kits.

Thanks to fan contributions, new features pop up including Series History, Columbia Tri-Star Episode Summaries, The Sugarbaker's House, a new Designing Women Fan Club discussion list, and ultimately a whole new site....


Designing Women Tribute - Phase One

2000
As the new millenium breaks, the site finally gets an official design, complete with navigation and a site logo. Now dubbed Designing Women Tribute, the site adds a biography of Designing Women creator Linda Bloodworth-Thomason, a Classic Articles section, and a site guestbook.

The Designing Women Fan Club starts reaching out to the series cast and creators and launches a monthly e-Newsletter entitled "Belled" to celebrate the series as well as update fans on current cast projects.

June debuts a new Women of the House website in the form of a fictional on-line magazine featuring articles on Congresswoman Suzanne Sugarbaker, members of her staff, the secrets and scandals behind her administration, and excerpts from her infamous diary entries.

As the year closes, DWT is contacted to help launch the new Designing Women Cookbook being released to raise money for the restoration of the Villla Marre.

2001
Belled gets its own website so that fans can see their newsletters online in full-color with accompanying photos.

Belled celebrates the 15th anniversary of Designing Women with exclusive interviews with Linda Bloodworth-Thomason and series star Meshach Taylor.

By July, DWT settles in to a new design that will carry it through the next few years, which includes a new Musical Memories section that features all of the music that appeared throughout the series.

Designing Women Cookbook launches a new site and announces a second volume, redirecting all royalties towards Breast Cancer research after the sale of the Villa Marre.

2002
In July, Belled Online is redesigned to become an online news site, debuting its Hot Off the Press section as well as a full-color html newsletter, which is now sent out only with time-sensitive news.

2003
Belled launches a Designing Women DVD Poll to petition Sony to release Designing Women on DVD. In June, Belled takes 50 fans to LIFETIME Television's live taping of The Designing Women Reunion courtesy of Mozark Productions.

2007
Belled Online is archived and Designing Women Tribute officially becomes Designing Women Online.
